George Ranch High School
George Ranch High School is a Lamar Consolidated Independent School District campus serving students in grades 9 through 12 in Richmond, Texas. Home of the Longhorns, the school opened in 2010 and provides students with academic, career and technical, fine arts, extracurricular and athletic opportunities. George Ranch is Lamar CISD’s first UIL Class 6A high school. Its athletics program includes more than 1,000 student-athletes competing across 26 UIL teams. The school is led by Principal Carrie Yanta, a longtime Lamar CISD educator who previously served George Ranch as a teacher, academic facilitator, assistant principal and associate principal.
